Social media management in the Nordics

Trust International is a global provider of digital lifestyle accessories to both consumers and businesses, including video conferencing products, smart home devices and PC peripherals. Founded in 1983, its products are widely respected and distributed in over fifty countries. Trust engaged digitalPR to manage their organic and paid social media in the Nordics, including managing and nurturing Trust’s community on Facebook and Instagram.


Maintaining an ‘always on’ social media presence

Trust wanted to use their social media platforms as a portal through which they could regularly engage with and grow their community, and strengthen sales in the Nordic market. The goal was to provide a constant presence on social media, using the channels to deliver new content each week.

Our role was to develop and manage Trust’s social media strategy in the Nordics. This included creative copywriting so that weekly social posts were relevant to each of the four countries, active community management, and paid advertising to ensure that news reached new prospective customers and fans, in addition to the established audiences.

Trust also wanted to ensure that they are seen as being responsive to their community. As such, another core objective was to always reply to comments and messages, and to reward fan loyalty with regular competitions that nurtured and expanded the audiences.


A tailored, data-driven social media plan

In order to meet the objectives of the campaign, digitalPR’s experienced team of social media and PPC experts developed a tailored, data-driven strategy. This included implementing a system to ensure that new, original content was posted on Facebook and Instagram at least twice a week. This content was delivered organically to Trust’s existing community, and to a wider potential audience through paid promotion.

For the paid PPC aspect of the campaign, digitalPR’s experts researched and developed target audiences that were tailored to Trust’s individual product sectors and the content of each post. We also employed remarketing strategies to increase conversions, and used video content to deliver the highest possible on-platform engagement.

Testing is crucial to the success of any social media campaign, so digitalPR’s team regularly assessed and refined the copy and image assets of each advert to ensure the best possible ROI.

On the community management front, digitalPR’s social media team replied quickly to customer queries in each local language, making sure that every message was answered. Finally, once per month, we ran giveaways or competitions to reward loyal fans and grow the audiences, piggy-backing on local events and holidays in each country to ensure a personal touch.


Dramatic increase in fan engagement in the Nordics

In 2021, digitalPR’s social media campaigns reached a staggering 2.2 million people in the Nordics.

Importantly, our tailored paid and organic social media strategy delivered almost 78,000 click-throughs to Trust’s network of online retailers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. This helped to deliver on Trust’s sales growth targets for the Nordics.
